Nadine Samarina - Artist Statement

I am a dance of emotions, expressed through colors, lines and forms.
My paintings and graphic works are a kaleidoscope of feelings, where vibrant hues and delicate lines intertwine with the depths of human experience.
Women, flowers, light and darkness are my main themes.

Feminine beauty is not just about appearance, it is an entire universe of emotions, stories and experiences. Tenderness and fragility contrast with strength and resilience, making it an image of boundless beauty and depth.

Flowers are a symbol of the fleeting nature of life, its fragility and at the same time its incredible resilience. They bloom, giving us their beauty, and then fade away, leaving behind an unforgettable mark. Their beauty reminds us of the preciousness of every moment.

Light and darkness are eternal companions of existence. They fight each other but at the same time they  can’t exist without each other. In my works, light becomes a symbol of hope, faith, and overcoming adversity. And darkness is a symbol of the unknown future, the eternal mystery of existence and the fact that there is room for sadness, pain, and loss in life.

With delicate lines, strokes, and contrasts in my graphic works, I express and explore the subtlest nuances of emotions.

Bright colors emphasize my emotions, becoming a tool with which I can break free from the shackles of darkness and fill my works with radiance.

My art is therapy for me. Through it, I explore my own emotions, experience them, express them, and let them go. This is a way to better understand myself and find harmony with my own inner world.

I strive for my work to resonate in people's hearts. To make them feel, empathize, and share emotions.

I believe that art possesses the power to work miracles. It can heal, inspire, give hope and unite people.

My goals:

  • To evoke emotions

  • To raise awareness of mental health issues and help people cope with them

  • To explore emotions and feelings through art

I am constantly evolving and seeking new ways to express myself. My art is a journey without end. And I invite you to join me on this journey.

With love for art and for people,

Nadine
